Wavinya Maria jets off to London, UK for the 69th edition of the Miss World beauty pageant
Newly crowned Miss World Kenya 2019/20 Wavinya Maria has jetted off to represent the nation at the 69th edition of the Miss World beauty pageant to be held on Saturday December 14th in London, United Kingdom
The opening ceremony for the pageant will be held on November 20 in London, contestants will then compete in a series of fast track events around London.
The 18year old beauty queen will battle it out with 127 contestants for the coveted Miss world beauty crown. Wavinya a Mass Communication student at Mount Kenya University is confident that she will perform well in the global competition and make the nation proud.
Though Wavinya has been been involved with various CSR activities throughout the country, she will be taking her #Heels4pads initiative to the global stage hoping to bag #beautywithapurpose prize money.
The current Miss World is Vanessa Ponce of Mexico who was crowned on 8 December 2018 in Sanya, China.[6] She is the first Mexican woman to win Miss World
