Saumu Mbuvi narrates how she fell in love with Lamu senator Anwar Loitiptip.

Lamu senator Anwar Loitiptip is the lucky gentleman who is currently dating Saumu Mbuvi - the daughter of Nairobi governor Mike Sonko.

Saumu Mbuvi past relationships were deviled by all sort of drama before she ended up dating Lamu senator Anwar Loitiptip.

In an interview with Massawe Japanni on Radio Jambo, Saumu revealed that Ben Gatu was physically abusive towards her and that he was only dating her to gain political mileage. ( Sonko’s daughter dated Ben Gatu and Robert Ouko before she fell for the Lamu senator.)

Ben broke up with Saumu and hooked up with Murang’a governor’s daughter Rachael Wanja in early 2017 [he later broke up with Rachael as well]. Ben’s breakup with Saumu came just weeks before they were blessed with a baby girl on 9th March 2017.

Saumu Mbuvi also accused her ex fiancé Robert Ouko of battering her. The two went their separate ways sometimes in May 2019

After breaking up with Robert Ouko, Saumu hooked up with Lamu senator Anwar Loitiptip, Their relationship came to light in early June 2019 after they were attacked by goons at Memphis Lounge near USIU in Nairobi.

It was after the highly publicized attack at Memphis Lounge that Saumu Mbuvi and senator Loitiptip came clean about their relationship.

Speaking on how she met the Lamu senator, Saumu revealed that she bumped into the lawmaker when she was on holiday in Mombasa and that they started off as friends before they fell deep in love and started dating.

“He [Loitiptip] was my best friend before we started dating. He used to encourage and advise me to start development projects. We met in Mombasa when I was on holiday while he was attending an official event. And that’s how we became friends. He became my confidant and every time I had an issue, I would tell him. He was very supportive and is always there for me no matter what. I appreciate him because he’s my system support. He always advises me not to entertain negativity,” Saumu Mbuvi opened up during an interview on Radio Jambo.
