Kiss FM’s Andrew Kibe in court over unpaid Ksh. 2.5M loan.

Kibe was on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, arraigned in court for failing to pay for a 7-year-old debt.

The controversial radio presenter is said to have originally borrowed Ksh 215,000 from a former colleague, Joshua Ichang’i Weru, but defaulted on payments.

Weru reportedly loaned Kibe the money seven years ago, to be paid back within 18 days.

At the time, the two agreed on Ksh.55,000 as interest, failure to which the loan would acquire a 7.5%interest after every four days.

The loan accumulated over the years and as of June 2018 stood at Sh2.5million.

The plaintiff asked the court to demand that Kibe repays the full amount plus the interest incurred.

Weru further demanded that Andrew Kibe pays for the full cost of the lawsuit and other relief that the court might deem fit.
